Introduction
Shield Damage is the second most common form of Damage in Pixel Starships. As the name implies, Shield Damage affects Shield HP. High Shield Damage is incredibly important as shields are seen almost everywhere in PvP, especially past level 4.
Shield Damage Mechanics
Shield Damage is relatively straightforward. 3 Shield Damage is going to take off 3 HP from the enemy shield, 4 will take off 4 HP and so on. If the Shield Damage surpasses the current Shield HP, the extra Shield Damage is discarded and will not do anything. So, 5 Shield Damage to a 3 HP shield will take down the shield and will discard the 2 remaining Shield Damage.

Below is a list of weaponry that inflict Shield Damage.
- Most Starship Weapon Rooms. Exceptions are the Missile Launcher, Multi Missile Launcher, and Teleport.
- Most Starbase Weapon Rooms. Exceptions are the Missile Launcher, Multi Missile Launcher, Teleport, Missile Array, Cruise Missile Launcher, and Apocalypse Missile Array.
